Kaisa Kettunen

During my internship at a small fashion brand in London I was offered the opportunity to design new prints for the brand’s summer collection fabrics. The emerging trend of gardening inspired the collection’s theme. I approached the brief by sketching out gardening-related items such as watering cans, gardening gloves and several different leaves.

The sketches were scanned to a computer and developed into vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator. I ended up creating two patterns in bright summer colours: a leaf medley and a more geometrical arrangement of watering cans.
